Title: Momentum Grid – Dodgeball + Slide Tiles
Prepared by: Charity Helpers Foundation
Date: 2025-06-14
Version: 1.0

---

**CONCEPT SUMMARY**
Momentum Grid is a dodgeball-inspired competition where players move across a grid of slick, shifting tiles while dodging incoming balls. Every movement requires balance, strategy, and split-second reactions as the terrain subtly shifts under pressure.

---

**REQUIRED EQUIPMENT**

- Soft foam dodgeballs (5–8)
- Gridded floor surface with low-friction sliding tiles or slick covers (15’ x 15’)
- Grips and gloves for safety (optional)
- Jerseys or team markers
- Referee whistles
- Tactile zone markers for edges

---

**FIELD LAYOUT**

- 5x5 grid of movable or slick tiles
- Each team starts on opposite sides of the grid
- Safe zones on either side behind the grid
- Penalty ring around the perimeter

---

**PLAYER ROLES**

- 4–6 players per team
- All players are active dodgers and throwers
- Optional designated tile shuffler (for advanced versions)

---

**GAME OBJECTIVE**

Eliminate the opposing team by hitting them with dodgeballs while maintaining footing on the unstable tile grid. The last team with standing players wins the round.

---

**BASIC RULES**

1. Players must stay within the bounds of the tile grid.
2. A player is out if hit with a live ball or falls off the grid.
3. Catching a ball revives one eliminated teammate.
4. Teams alternate serve on each round.
5. After 2 minutes, randomly selected tiles become “slippery zones” where footing is extra unstable (announced by ref).

---

**VARIATIONS / SCALING IDEAS**

- **Shuffle Mode**: Random grid tile shifts between rounds
- **Solo Sudden Death**: 1v1 finale on a 3x3 grid
- **Speed Round**: 30-second blitz with rapid-fire throws
- **Youth Edition**: Use yoga mats or carpet squares to simulate zones

---

**STAT TRACKING SUGGESTIONS**

- Hits made
- Hits taken
- Time survived
- Grid falls
- Tiles controlled

---

**NOTES**
Momentum Grid combines fast reflexes with environmental adaptation. Events can be hosted on gym floors with removable vinyl overlays or synthetic slip tiles. Promotes core strength and reaction training.
